N80 - Chinese Language

I know me sound stupid, but however, i can't set my N80 to read Chinese Language. Please advice, thanks!

Does it have Chinese language phone software (firmware), or is it, e.g., an European model?

If it does not have Chinese firmware, then it doesn't come with Chinese (Simplified or Traditional) fonts, and it doesn't come with a Chinese FEP (Front-End Processor) for Chinese text input, either.

If it has Chinese firmware, and is in English mode, then try menu > Tools > Settings > Phone > Geneal > Phone language, etc.

Help!!! :con?

I have F/W 4.0623.0.41, Region Code: 12 Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia.

I already wrote Nokia, only to receive negative reply. They will not supply a language pack for Chinese for non-Chinese phones. I flashed my N80 to APAC-12. I need the 'Pilipino' Predictive Input.

At the same time, I need to be able to Read/Write Chinese and Read/Write Thai. Having T9 French and T9 Spanish would be nice as well.

Now, it seems that all the forums I search (China-Based Forums) do not have a solution that works. The XDBL.TTF Solution did not work for this F/W version. I am about to pull my hair out.

S60 1st Ed and S60 2nd Ed were a lot easier to add software to. S60 3rd has so many restrictions. Grrrrrr!!!

Anyone with a great brain who could provide a solution to enable Read/Write of Chinese on Non-Chinese N80 Phones (without re-flashing the firmware), because we still need the language we have, i.e., Pilipino or French....

Please share your wisdom.

Thank you very much. :turtle:
