AAC files from iTunes

Hi,

Anybody got AAC files generated by iTunes onto the N80 with the album and artist data. I can only do it if I convert to MP3, which is a bit lower quality.

I am sending them from a Mac.

Doesn't work for me either, guess we'll have to wait for a firmware update so the N80 supports AAC tags, highly doubt it'll ever happen though

If you can take the files out of their MP4 conatiner and convert them to plain AAC files the tags shoudl be read. However not sure what software on a Mac will do this.

On a PC you can sue dbPowerAMP

Unfortuntely, N80 can't read tags in AAC files. It's simply ridculous because AAC is officially the main ISO standard for music since 1997 (ISO/IEC 14496-3). In contrast, I doubt that MP3 is an ISO standard.

It's on my (quite long) list of flaws/bugs in N80 but I won't even bother sending it to Nokia. I don't think they care. Then, they would have made it easier and they would have constructed a formal system of feedback on bugs etc.
