Memory Card Problems

I bought a 2gb Sandisk miniSD card for 25 which i think is rather good.

I put it in my phone and nothing, doesnt detect it. After a few times of taking it out and putting it back in it gets detected. But whenever i click on anything it comes up saying "unsafe remove memory card without selecting 'Remove mem. card' first. The memory card then effectivly vanishes. The phone wont detect it at all.

Then i eject and put it back in and it picks it up again for a few menu clicks before the warning comes up again.

The card works fine in my digitial camera and memory card reader with the SD adaptor.

Is my phone dodgy? Do i need to send it to nokia? Do i need to ring o2 where i got it from?

My firmware is 2.0628.0.01 and is dated 10-07-2006. Then says RM-133. Nokia N73 (58.01).

I have ordered a different memory card which should come soon.

Any ideas would be greatly welcome.

Do you have formated the card inside the phone? N73 have some problems, luckly not permanent...

Well... hard to tell waths happen. N73 have lot of problems, one of them are rejecting the card, time to time, but not from a permanent way... Try change the card for a new one.
