Sync with Outlook : No phone numbers in Outlook after sync

3 replies · 2,710 views · Started 25 October 2006

Just got my N80 and I tried synchronising my N80 with Microsoft Outlook on Windows XP.

I created a seperate Contact folder for my N80 and after downloading the contacts, no phone numbers could be seen in the Contact list, only the First Name, Last Name, Company and Title could be seen.

The phone numbers were not sync'ed across.

Is there a problem or a workaround to resolve this issue for PC Suite + Outlook + Windows XP?

I have no problems with this on my Mac using iSync.

Thanks in advance

Chances are the phone numbers are there, but they're under the wrong heading.

Outlook has four headings for numbers by default - Business, Home, Business Fax and Mobile.

So, for instance, if the number in your phone is stored under 'Mobile (Home)' rather than just 'Mobile' Outlook doesn't recognise this and it won't show in one of the four default headings.

Agree. The Sync process is not perfect between Nokia phones and Outlook.

Tried that but non of the "hidden" tabs in Outlook carries any of the information for contacts generated via the phone. It shows total blank for all contact number fields.
