How does JAVA work?

Excuse the silly question, but how does Java work on this phone? What's an .sis file? I had a Siemens SL45i phone before and we just copied a .jad and .jar file straight to the Java directory. This looks a little more complex to me! PS I can send the Java files across via IR, right? ie not going on WAP

SIS files are not Java, they are C++. Java files on the 7650 are in the form of JAR files. You just send the JAR file to the phone and thats it! Open it from the phone and the will install.

When you install .sis files, you can find them in the menu, and in the application manager page. but java games you find them in Apps and open them from there.
