N80 randomly connects to internet

I'v been using my n80 on o2 for a few weeks now and it's been pretty good. But i'm finding it keeps starting up gprs connections seemingly randomly when no applications are open. It was only today that i realised i was actually being charged every time it connects. Does anyone know why it might be doing this and how i can get it to stop? Thanks

There are quite a few applications that give a warning when you install them that they want access to the network.

The one I'd go for first would be the anti-virus software if you have it, that has an option to automatically check for updates.

Ahhh yeah, that seems the sort of thing that's happening. I'v only just got the anti virus software so i don't think it's that. I'll check which ones might possibly do that. Thanks very much.
