Hi everyone, just got my first Symbian phone but its locked to vodafone, bugger eh? anyway ive searched this forum and others looking for a definitive and up to date answer to "can this phone be unlocked for free?" all the posts on here seem to be from last year, just wondered if there was any news on free unlock codes? or even if vodafone are selling unlock codes now?
Thanks for any help.
Baz
*Edit : Ok, ive done a bit more digging around and there still doesn't seem to be anyway of unlocking it without contacting Vodafone, has anyone managed to get an unlock code from them yet? and will they give it to me if i wasnt the original contract customer?
Thanks Again
Baz
You have no other options. You must get the code only from Vodafone network. Probably they must give it free unlock code too. Once you have got the unlock code, You can visit http://www.mobileunlockguide.com/nokia-6630 . This site provides free unlocking instruction. This could help you understand unlocking process better.

you are not having any option of getting the lock code for free and you have to contact the vodafone customer care firstly and check.
