I posted responding in a post that at least my n93 works perfectly. then i started to surf the web and saw that it a general problem!!!
but im i the only one?
here i leave the post and some videos showing how it works:
I just uploaded two videos on how it works perfectly te combination between numbers. It is true that sometimes it doesnt work on the first try. you got to try tapping the numbers fast 02 02 02 02 02.. and then it starts working. other times it works nicely. My FW is V11.0.034 17-08-06

just in any case i have this version of Scummvm : http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/s...m.sis?download
its the latest one on the web..
I tried again with vNes, Skyforce and Doom, but I can't get two numpad buttons working at the same time. For example, when I play Galaga and map the movement buttons to numpad buttons, there is no way that I can move and fire at the same time.
The way you describe your action, it sounds to me that if you tap the two buttons after each other fast enough, the program accepts you want to access the function that comes with pressing 0 and 2 at the same time.
Try playing a game in scumm, mapping your buttons to the numpad, then using a numpad button to, for example, walk in a certain direction, and then executing an action with another numpad button. It just won't work.
Also, pressing a numpad button while holding a joypad button doesn''t work. Two joypad-buttons at the same time don't work either.
I have never used Scumm before (too much of it in the bath). However, I loaded it and tried to browse to a folder in the (tiny) Scumm file manager. The only way I could get it to the right folder was to keep the left soft-key pressed whilst scrolling with the joypad. This was easy.
Now I know it isn't quite the whole two presses on the numberpad thang that is described in this post, nor did I try, but at least I know this works.
I've since removed Scumm btw as I couldn't get broken arrow (or something) to be found. Maybe I'll give Doom a go.
With the soft key it works better, but stilll not good enough. To me, that's more proof that it's a software problem. When you try using both of them at once, either one or the other will stop registering it's input at one point.
Furthermore, it would be great to use not only the screen, but also the buttons in landscape mode... That would make playing games on the N93 almost as easy as on any console =)

Alright, we're starting to see unconventional and desperate little hacks in order to halfway get around this silly (but BIG) problem. Could that possibly mean we're getting to the final stages of this farse, where we'll actually see Nokia enter the stage to acknowledge and FIX this once and for all? Perkele.
Thanx for your post and the vids Birraman. The more we talk about and examine this, the more likely it is something positive will happen.
