Check data download

I have just added a data download package from o2 to my overall package and want to check how much data I have downloaded over a period or on a particular day. What is the best piece of software to do this?

Regards

The (free) inbuilt data log.

The inbuilt data log does an overall check for a period. Can this be modified to check on any particular day or for one day at a time?

Just zero it on the day you want to be day 1. 😊

and you can look at individual connection sessions. go: menu -log - back -back -right then select the session. this log shown all communications the phone has done, maybe not quite what you were after but you can use it say after a train ride to see what you used up.

on three there is a my account page that tells you what you have used. doesnt o2 have anything like this?

Yes there is, if you can be bothered to go online and log into your account, then find the relevant page. But I think it's a lot easier just to reset the phone's log every month, assign the left button to the log and pull up the info as required (or at least, that is the button I use). It gives a nice summary of data sent and received.

I go online to check my bills and I can check data there just thought I would want to check quickly on the phone.

, tis a pain that the browser doesnt store passwords (not needed on threes login)

but this log includes none chargeable data, ie including wlan (and possibly o2s portal if its chargeable / if you even use it)

ah, sorry, at that point I was referring to online with a conventional computer and browser. I rarely access the web on my N80 and certainly wouldn't bother going to O2's dreadful site on it. Also don't have a 3G plan. I use good old GSM for data - mainly email, rss, photos to blog via shozu, weather updates from Handyweather, etc. The N80's log facility is enough for me to keep tabs on what's been going on, though in truth, I tend not to bother looking, just paying my bill at the end of the month. I use what I use.
