just in case that's of interest to anyone...currently updating it myself.
v4 for Three available on nokia software updater
I have updated the firmware and it works.
System feels a touch slower, and my quickoffice (was installed to mem card) didnt work so I had to uninstall it and reinstall it.
Also when I boot the phone it tells me there are untrusted apps on my mem card which cannot be installed?
Also a new feature is that this firmware now supports the Music player PC sync profile for compatibility with WMP (not tested if it works yet tho).
Three Firmware details:
v 4.0623.0.41
28-07-2006
RM-92 (45.02)

Firmware upgrade may have reset the certificate checking option for apps?
ive just successfully updated my n80 on three
however a slight hitch is that the message center has been lost and when i go to the text message settings to reinput it i get the message 'Text message service disabled. No message centers available on current SIM'
does anyone know how to solve this problem so i can start txting again?
thanks
You will probably have to get the message centre details from the Customer Service at 3, but since they are retarted it might take awhile to get it done.
Man I miss those automated setting scripts Orange and T-Mobile used to send me via SMS

You can obtain the network configuration also on Nokia Site - Support Pages. They are send to your phone by SMS.
Woo hoo, just done it! no need to go to the service centre now😎
My browser seems better now, loads 3g images when out of 3g signal. Also three theme works better.

Do these FOTA updates also reset the phone, so you have to make a back-up?
i fixed the message problem just by reinstalling the firmware from the nokia software updater, it is working fine again now
Woot hopefully Vodafone follow soon.

The phone is reset.
Just backup your phone first using pc suite, update the phone, when done restore your phone ...everything works fine...all the 3 browser addresses are there etc.

I have this same problem, when i update my phone the message center info is there, after i restore my backup its gone.
I also cant log in to three's website as it saya my password is wrong.... the one they text'd to me minutes before. After speaking to customer services about sending me the message center info they said they couldnt and i would have to take it to a service center. :/
Update: I ended up hard reseting the phone and restoring all my files apps and settings manually :/
