HandBrake or mencoder for DVD transcoding?

Hello.

Anyone using mencoder or handbrake for transcoding DVDs for playback on an N80. I'm not having good lucking getting movies playing with the native player.

I'm not interested in smartmovie and I cant get the divx player to run.
