when i operate my N80,sometimes the screen just goes blank for no reason, but the phone is not restarting as after awhile it goes back to normal.this happens very frequently.
in addition, when i slide the phone up and down, the phone's graphics tend to screw up with the screen turning purplish or blueish
Any solution to these problems?
Thanks.
Both these things seem to involve some movement of the sider section, ie, moving it up and down to pushing it inwards.
So my best guess would be that the ribbon connector between the screen and the board in the slide isn't seated properly.

You must be talking about the power saving feature 😊
If this is the case, it's perfectly normal and the power saver can be turned off if you don't like it.
If the screen just goes blank when you are actually USING the phone, then there is definitely something wrong and you need to take it to the nearest Nokia service center...

I think this was supposed to have been fixed in v4 firmware. What version do you have?
i have the latest firmware that i updated from the nokia software updater
i have the same problem with the display.....the slider problem....either its a connection problem or the lcd needs to be changed....
