The op logo is locked on your sim , so you cant change that. unless you get
a new sim card. 😞

about the oplogo, im not really sure where the problem took place. if you used seleQ properly, browsing the image then, choosing set as operator logo then the phone should reboot and you should have replaced you logo - if this is how you went about it, it should just be fine. however, there are some telecos that stored their default oplogo in the sim and if that's your case there is simply nothing you can do to change the oplogo.

sorry if that's the problem, brother.

about changing firmware, the best thing to do is go to your local Nokia Care and if you have warranty they should be able to upgrade for free. 8)

hope this helps. 😃

hmmm ..... & if i'll take the sim , put it in the 7110 i have somewhere , with the cable , is there any chance that i'll unlock it & the burned-in logo die ?

i doubt that will work. maybe you can do what jyrik said. if there are other telcos there, then you might want to switch - if you really want to change the op logo.
