What's your e-mail setting? is it POP3 or IMAP?
do you have the zipman application? maybe just zip it before sending through e-mail?
nope, havent got zipman 😞
but theres gotta be a setting for this. or something?
kim
you don't need zipman to be able to send some attachments to your e-mail ad! for example; you got a picture, go to the picture and then select send - via e-mail. give your e-mail ad and if you want you can put some text on it and then send it! as easy as ABC !!
one question though! are you using a GPRS internet account?? not that GPRS WAP Account! and you should use your providers smtp address for sending mails !!
i know how to send a picture etc. look at the first post at this thread, thats what i get when trying.
i use GPRS with the internet setting. i can recieve mails, and send. the only thing is that i dont get attachments correctly, its just text included in the mail..
take a look at post#01 in the thread, see if you can figure it out 😊
thanks..

ive tried "make a new message", than choose e-mail, and just added a "picture" there..
ive also tried going into the "pictures" directory, and choose "send" via email..
i get the same type of email nomatter what i do :/
kim
strange, i have tried all the wayz and they all work fine.
maybe u should try the "add attachment" option and see if this works for you.
Looks like somewhere along the line the e-mail headers are getting rewritten and you mail getting converted into text, if it happens to all addresses you send to then it points to it being done by the outgoing server.
What email server are you using to send thru - can you try another?
Send a picture to me [email protected] and I'll have a closer look at it.
maybe it has something to do with the central im sending through?
or are there any sending options that i should go through?
damn 😞 it would have been so cool if it worked..
kim
Hi kim.
It looks like your outgoing server is to blame - it's rewriting the headers to read 'Content-Type: text/plain' which is causing your e-mail, including attachments, to display as text.
You need to find another mailserver to send thru - or speak to the current one and ask them about it.
I always send images through e-mail rather than MMS and have never had a problem with the attachments, I can see no setting on the phone what can do this to the e-mails...
Best
Will
You have your telephone operators email service?
Might be, that they would like you to use MMS and pay huge sums for it 😃
and have disabled/screwed up the email attachment sending like willbrady
said.
ive just made a new email at "hotmail". so that i can RECIEVE mails from that account im using right now, and maybe SEND via hotmail 😊 (if it works)
but how do i find the settings from hotmail? pop3 etc...
kim
Hotmail is http not pop3
In it's earlydays you could use pop.hotmail.com but I doubt that would still work..
Yeah. Hotmail and Yahoo wont work anymore for POP3. (yahoo has a paid service for POP ..though)
You might want to try Hotpop. Its free and pretty simple
Goodluck

The problem is in this part. Your mail client does not decode that base64 encoded part correctly.
Sure but in the first post it clearly said that they have sent to other e-mail address too and none of them worked so unless all Kim's mates have e-mail clients that do not read base64 then it's not that - plus the fact that the actual message includes the 'html' coding and headers points to the mail being delivered in text format rather than simply being read in text format.
Plus the e-mail Kim sent me incuded the headers as part of the actual e-mail, which points to the origal header being rewritten - the rewritten header showed the Content-Type: as text, it should have been 'multipart'
Try www.HotPOP.com. It's free mail forwarding.
The reason why I said about the zipman is for the e-mail not to automatically be modified because of the picture file extension.
Your e-mail is quarantined in effect.
i tried sending a picture from phone to email via HotPop, but the same thing happens..
kim
You should take up the issue with your operator, as it seems more of some kind of corruption at the gateway. Anyone else on ur network with the same problem?
amoung my friends, im the only one whos crazy enough to spend that amount on a phone 😊
(probably the only sucker who has got money enough too, hehe)
anyone from norway, whos using "djuice" for GPRS??
(think ima try finding another "server" for GPRS, and see how it works with emails. its strange, because it recieves messages with pictures perfectly etc..)
hmm.. confused..
