mp3 ringtone & memory card

Hi,

I've recently upgraded the firmware of my n6630 to v5.03.08 17-08-05 RM-1. Some interesting new features appear but some old ones disappear.

For instance if a contact with a miniature calls me it appears his/her own pre-set photo in the incoming call balloon. But if I put an mp3 in "e:\nokia\sounds\digital\" it won't be shown in the OS ringtone list like before. Any clue? The only scam I found this far is to make use of the phone built-in memory "c:\nokia\sounds\digital".

P.S.: my phone is NOT sim-or-whatever locked.

In phone memory use \Nokia\Sounds\Digital. On a memory card use \Sounds\Digital (no "\Nokia"😉.

Yep, you're right. I just checked it. I also noticed that, at least for MP3 files, subfolder "digital" is not necessary one can simply put them in "e:\sounds\".

Thanks
