Latest firmware?

Your call i will say. Normally, if you encounter problem, you may wanna patch it.

Word of wisdom: ALways fix a hole if you see it. If you din't see it, no point fix it.

I have v3.16 too and kept seeing errors like: App closed Kernel 3, system error, contact service

Most of the time.. I'm seeing those error whenever I will turned on my phone. At night, phone is off, turned on in the morning.

I'm quite sure no app is running at the background before turning the phone off because I don't use or installed such apps that runs in the background.

Does this mean I need to patch it?
I've brought my device to Nokia Center, they held the phone for 1 day. When I claimed it back the next day, I asked them what they did. HUH! they only RESET the phone (Hard reset) which I can do myself. I told them hard-reset seems don't "solve/cure" the above-mentioned problems/error. They said they can't do anything since I have the latest version of firmware which is v3.16 err??? I understand that maybe that is what they got.

I knew a place here that can upgrade my phone to v4.37 or v4.39 with a fee but I'm a bit worried to do it coz Nokia Center informed that once I asked outside shops to do it, the warranty will be void. Phones' warranty will expire October 2003.

Should I care to patch? until now the annoying errors kept appearing 😞

Anyone tried to patch/upgrade their phones software outside with a fee? how was it?

Well for you case, i will say.. go patch it.

It's true if you tamper with your phone from a unauthorise Nokia Centre your phone warrenty voided. What you may wanna do is, bring your phone to another Nokia Care Centre and tell them you wanna to flash your firmware. They will do it for your FREE. Bring your warenty card along.

The 4.37 firmware is crap :x

I have it for a while, but it totaly mess up my speaker sensor system 😞

Now I have 4.39 and it work's fine.
