On the SE pages they describe P800 and P802. Only at P802 they mention symbian os, see http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?page=GIS
It can't be true, can it, that P800 is just a phone without user being able to install any applications?

No the p800 can install applicatoins. OFcourse it can, with already Handy Safe out for the p800 and that remote control. 😊
No way nobody would make such a great phone without the ability to install applications! 😃
And the p800 is using Symbian OS, 7.0 😊

Phew, I'm relieved.
I must say that P800 is a tempting device (not that I've seen it yet, but...)
Guess I have to go and see it at a store next week (since I am one of the lucky ones to live in a country where they will be selling it).
BTW, how is the RAM situation in P800?

The RAM is 12 mb, and there's also the Memory stick DUO. Which is currently up to 128 mb ( i think, i dunno where you can get it though, maybe 128 is in really near future, 64mb now i guess :-?)
You also get a 16mb memory stick DUO with it 😊

Does anyone know any good site with apps for P800? I have my P800 quite a while right now and I'll prepare CD with polyphonic ringtones and wallpapers for P800, but that will be sweet to add some shareware apps to this CD.

I dont think that there are any shareware apps for the p800,or that there will be any soon or ever 😊

For those who have gotten this device, how do you find the handwriting input? I am used to the PalmOS graffiti handwriting functionality for jotting down notes and missed this when I migrated to a Nokia 9210.

Well,i haven't tried it or anything, but the roumor is that the writing recognition on the p800 is the most advanced,so far.
