There are entries in Outlook Contacts where you can store data like birthday, name of huspand/wife/boss etc, I don't think these sync with Communicator agenda.
Let me try to shed a little light.....
If you open a contact on the communicator and then select "add field" on the toolbar on the RHS, then scroll right to the bottom, there is a field "Birthday" (with an icon very similar to the calendar application anniversay icon). If you choose to add it, it appears as a date-only format field at the bottom of the contact
The question (I think) is does this field interact with the "Calendar" application? As you probably have all seen, there is an "anniversaries" view / function in the Calendar application.
I remember playing around with the anniversary function in the past. At the time, I was synchronising both ways with Outlook and (as covered in other threads) I had lots of problems with duplicate entries. One of the worst offenders was anniversaries. I solved most of the problems by entering all data into the 9210i and synchronising only from 9210 to Outlook.
I am pretty sure that, at this time, I also had bithdays entered in the appropriate contacts field and this compounded the problems because this data somehow got into the Calendar anniversaries function.
I just added a test birthday in contacts and I cannot find any way to get it to appear in anniversaries. I think perhaps that what might have been happening was:
1) 9210 contact birthday data synchronised with Outlook contact details (this definitely happens)
2) Outlook contact birthday transferred into Outlook calendar
3) outlook calendar synchronised to 9210 calendar
4) Anniversary already entered manually on 9210.
5) 9210 couldn't tell they were the same and kept creating a duplicate
6) Even if no manual anniversary entered into 9210 calendar, I still got duplicates problems - possibly from this route.
7) I was also synchronising to 2 different PC's which probably didn't help.
Bottom line is I can see no way to get the data from 9210 contact application into 9210 calendar function. This is despite the fact that the anniversary field has the same icon as the bithday field in the contacts "add field" display. If anybody works it out, I would like to hear about it.
