P990 - Auto Internet Access

0 replies · 3,150 views · Started 03 November 2006

I have questions that I would like to open up to other P990 users.

I have a Vodafone branded P990 loaded with Firmware R5A006. I have managed to connect to the net via my wireless access and via the Vodafone settings sent to me by Vodafone.

I already know about the Vodafone issue with SEUS (Sony Ericsson Upgrade Service) and why I can not upgrade to the latest firmware which is believed to be R9A006.

The questions that I have relates to gaining access to the net.

I have set up the Internet Group to have my connections in the following order;

Home - Wireless connection at \home
Vodafone Live - Vodafone Live!
Vodafone Int - Vodafone WAP

My annoyance is that when I connect to the net or to download RSS feed, my fone always asks "Connect to Internet" and lists the connection options as ;

Internet - Group with the above entries
Vodafone mail Incoming - Settings from Vodafone
Vodafone mail Outgoing - Settings from Vodafone

Now, what's that all about? I have read that some folks get their feeds automatically by setting "Schedule Uploads" in the Settings option within RSS feeds.

Can anyone help please?
