Tab key available anywhere on the E61?

I've done some fair searching to find out if it is possible to ouput the tab key on an E61 to no avail. Is this at all possible? I'm desperate for it to use with Putty.

Does the usual Ctrl+'009' not work on the E61?

(any character can be entered numerically, not just tabs)

Works on the E70, however it's very cumbersome because the CTRL key and '9' & '0' are all on the right side of the keyboard :icon13:

It would be brilliant if one of the SHIFT keys could be mapped to TAB.

Hi, thank you, but I can't seem to get that to work.

I tried in Notes as follows:

Hold Ctrl, press M, M, N (those are the keys that share 0, 0, and 9)

Hold Ctrl, and Function (quite difficult 😊), press 0, 0, 9

Double tap Function to enable number lock, hold Ctrl, 0, 0, 9

All to no avail.

The primary (and only) reason I was looking for this was to have tab completion in Putty SSH, and I've discovered from the developer that Ctrl-I will do the trick.

Thanks anyway!

Ditto.

Thanks. Still a little tricky because both keys are on the same side of keyboard on the E70. I'm still wondering why TAB isn't available from the "Send..." menu.

In the same post where the developer tipped me off to Ctrl-I he said Tab would be added to the Send menu in the next version.
