New WLAN Wizard

Following the release of Search, thanks to Daniel for pointing us towards Nokia's release of a new WLAN Wizard for S60 3rd Edition. Although it doesn't do much more than the WLAN bit of the existing Connection Manager, it has a shortcut through to Web and so should help new users get online through Wi-Fi more quickly.

I think the biggest reason to use this app would be it's use of phone's idle screen to show available WLANs. Something S60 should of course have built-in..

What is the idle screen? I've installed this app on my E61 but i don't quite understand what it's supposed to do. It sees my home wifi network but it doesn't display anyhting neither on the Active Stanby screen not on the screensaver.

As far as i can see, the only difference between this app and the built-in Connectivity application is that it lets you launch the web browser. But then, it doesn't allow you to choose which web browser you want to use. It always launches Web even though i've got Opera Mobile installed.

My home WLAN is hidden, and my new symbian phone can't find it. Nokia's manual makes a vague reference to selecting "New WLAN", but I can't find any such option.

Google finds this page (and similar). Any suggestions or links?

My Mobile is Nokia E65 and recently i made a passward in my home Wi Fi connection so that whenever anyone sign in through my Wifi connection, a password should be asked first. unforunetly my mob now cant access the Wi Fi because no password of the Wi Fi is asked by it so cant access it thou i can still see the network availaible.
