OK .. so I have searched and found a few posts relating to this issue, but no real answers to it !?!
WLAN works OK, can connect and browse etc, but only if I define my WLAN access point in the browser (or any inet enabled app).
If I set to prompt for which AP (Access Point) to use then it does NOT show my WLAN connection, only the Packet Data ones. If I select search for available WLAN's it finds my WLAN, but will not connect to it !
Does anyone know of a fix for this? Is it a bug in 4.0623.0.41?
Thanx for the help ! 😊
use the recently released N80 Wlan wizard, i think theres a link somewhere or search on google.
Then make it one of the shortcuts on the active standby desktop, click it, pick the access point and click start web browsing.. this automatically makes an access point with the correct settings, and allows you to enter wep/wpa key if needed.
Makes things work so much better!
and I have also done a soft reset on the phone .. made bugger all difference :frown:

Nice work-round .. thanx for that tip 😊
edit
nevermind, just found out the newer firmware now has the option
well after some futher playing about .. it seems that it depends on the router/settings on the router that define if it can be 'seen' by the N80 !
