5.54?
When did this come out?
Phoned the service center here and they are normaly very good. But they dont know about it.

it was here 10.12.. so could take couple days to reach every local service centre.

Edit: date fixed..

here it will help you

http://www.nokia.com/NokiaHome/0,5184,4914,00.html?

also put new allnokiadata.sis on the 9210i

Sorry, to be sure I understand this right...

1) Firmware - phone has to be sent to a Nokia Service Centre for the upgrade from v5.34 to v5.54.

2) Will the Nokia Service Centre also install the other files contained in
All_Nokia_data_EN_554.SIS ?

3) If no, am I correct to assume that you have to do nothing apart from install the file All_Nokia_data_EN_554.SIS? Does this automatically overwrite all the older versions? Does it matter whether the individual applications included are split between communicator and MMC drives?

4) I assume All_Nokia_data_EN_554.SIS should not be installed on 9210i v.5.34 ?

Have I got this correct?

Has anybody done this yet? Was it worth the effort?

Thanks for your help.

-Phone side earpiece volume levels increased by 4 dB

for this it is the reason

the sis file have to installed by your self

in holland several people have done it already

Nokia says it's still not ready for my country! They have even advised my not to up-grade if my current software was doing fine!!! 😮 :-? I do not understand this!!?? :x What should I do? :-?

So, does anyone here have personal experience of doing the upgrade from 5.34 to 5.54?

Was it worth the trouble?

Unfortunatly no!! I was hoping to hear some words...
It's weird, the nokia ignorant people here in my country suggest not to up-grade unless you have serious problems with the previous versions!!!???
I really don't understand their behaviour...

Did the upgrade.
Have not noticed anything major improved. Oh well.

All i know is that 5 days later my phone died! Though this could be somthing else. Though i have never had a problem wityh the phone b4. And nokia have had it for the last 3days now tryna fix it! Though they just called and said i can get it today yippy! (Only 3 days i am impressed hehe!)

it is advisable not to fix something that ain't broke coz u risk the possibility of having problems with the new version, i'm sitting this one out waiting for updates as to whether the new version is indeed a better version.
