replacement for M600i

I am currently using a M600i and really like it despite some of its shortcomings. However, I hear that it is being phased out. Does anyone know if there is a replacement scheduled to be launched to replace it?

I too have an M600i and love it - it has shortcomings but not many - new firmware available soon too.

They've only just released it so I can't imagine for a minute that it's about to be canned. Could you say where you read about it being phased out?

Thanks,
Paddy

I heard about it from one of the Sony Ericsson dealers but have not been able to confirm.

regards

Michael

I'd ignore the dealer - Michal Jerz the site admin over at My-Symbian has an M600i with the new version of firmware available for preview. In fact I think the M600i is probably the most fully functional UIQ3 device available at the moment rather than the closest to the can!

I dont know about this M600i being phased out - it is a great machine for e-mail and text, only lacking a camera to be perfect.

So most likely there will be a follow up model with camera. But the current version will be around for a long time since there is no shortage of paranoid corporations and govt organizations who are banning cameras.
