Using 7650 for PC-MODEM?

im a proud owner of the 7650. ive setup my pc, so i can send files to my phone (and from phone to pc) via IR 😊

ive tried some programs on my phone like IRC and WEBVIEW. they work perfectly with the "internet" setting (instead of "wap"😉 when i surf trough GPRS. but theres a pain in the ass using irc via a phone, same goes for WEBVIEW.

so my question is; how do i use my 7650 for a MODEM??
can i use the my GPRS WEB account when surfing the net trough my pc/phone?

how do i setup my PC for this?

I think you may need a drive for iR modem for your PC or notebook. I tried using it as a modem once but not my 7650 but my 7110. It's work! Just like a external modem.... but there again on the expense of your dialup charges and your airtime on your phone bill...

Very expensive way to log on the net.

its very expensinve, but i was more thinking about irc and text-based programs 😊

Yes, I been using my 7650 as a modem now for 2 months now, works great.
Just install the modem driver from the cd that came with your 7650.

You should make another virtual port for the phone modem.
In the installation process it should do that automatically, but sometimes
it wont do it, for some mysterious reason.
