Hello. Have searched the forum hoping to find answers to this but can't see any so hope I'm not wasting everyone's time...
I've just got myself up and running using the N80 at home with a wireless router. I've been playing around with Orb and Simple Centre and they're OK ish. This has got me into thinking about viewing video, pictures music etc from my PC not only to the N80 but also on my TV. Is there anything available that would connect the N80 to a TV so I could view stuff stored on my PC on a TV via the n80 using WIFI ? Or does anyone know if it's possible to even bypass the N80 and stream directly to a TV ?
Any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks.
Jim
I think not. Only N93 and 95 can do that.
Actually you might be able to. The N93 & N95 provide direct cable means to display footage from the phone to a TV. However you should be replace the software based SimpleCenter end point with something a bit more robust in hardware. I'm thinking specifically of a Windows Media Exteneder, which would allow UPNP access to media content. The most readily availble WME is the XBOX360 (the original Xbox can be used as well if you have a suitable addon for it)... I'm not quite sure how it will work in practise since I lack an XBOX360 to play with but in theory it should be much the same as communicating with a Simple Center.
I'd be interested to see if anyone actually gets this to work
