Is my phone dead?

The other night i left my phone on the side at 18:41. About 22:00 I went out and opened the slide and it still said 18:41 and wouldn't do anything.

I took the battery out, put it back in and switched it on...

NOKIA came up on the screen and stayed on for about a minute before going and then I am just left with a blank screen with the background light on.

I left battery out overnight but no change... 3 days later... no change...

Am i screwed? is there any way to "reset" it?

yeah mine did that once, i had to reformat it, there are some codes you can put in or i used the one where you turn it on whilst holding certain keys (3, * and green i think -hold them turn on and keep held till it asks you to enter the time zone etc ) it will wipe your phone, so might be worth seeing if you can back anything up first (and back up regulaly in future)
