Acheiving converted films on e61

I am using smartmovie, so called great converter but i've not even managed ONE single film. What are good settings? and an encoder for the e61. I want specifics. If an individual is willing to help there is a cash donation. The sound and film go out of sync, and after the picture freezes and the sound stays.🙄 I want to see if there is anything incorrect I am doing. Otherwise this is the biggest pos for a mobile i've ever had the bad fortune of buying. What gives?, these are genuine cantonese dvd's. I use xVID and DIVX.

I gave up on Smartmovie as I could never get it to run. I use DVD Catalyst 2.0 and they have a free trial. It costs $20 but it works great and it's fast. I use Mobile DIVX to pay back on my E60.

What infuriates me, is a buggy piece of crap like smartmovie can have all the plaudits, whereas a cool working game which I saw at the pub meet is virtually unheard of. I am going to use Catalyst DVD, and try divx. Tell me about any compensations u require.:icon14: Getting this damn thing working is not straightforward.

Cannot find divx mobile for the life of me. It leads to a broken site. I can't get to it in any case the beta test is Yankocentric, since i live in europe i'm out. Although I noted, you could always lie about the location but can't see how anyone outside the US could get their hands on it, answers on a postcard:trytofly:

ok mediacoder or 'mencoder' works, now all i have to do is work out how to rip subtitles. at least the audio keeps up with the video! to say it's free its infact very good. when i've tweaked it ill definately donate.

strange...i find that smartmovie works better for me. on a same movie that both the divx player and smartmove can play, the divx player shows blockyness on the top edge of the video, but none on the smartplayer....not sure why.

video was converted using vdub - xvid, 320x240,384kbps vidbitrate, 25fps, 128kbps cbr mp3.
