Couple of issues with p990i

Is there anyway to turn of the backlight in the screen while we are talking? Doesn�t matter how long you talk, but the backlight in the screen doesn�t go off. It works fine with auto power save while we are not using phone, but while the phone is active it doesn�t turn off the backlight wasting the battery life.

Is there any way to disable the alert which comes at the end of every call.. I feel like that sound is really annoying� we do know we hang up the call and why do we need to hear that funny sound at the end?

man im wondering the same thing i mean why do we need the light when making da call,its draining the battery seflishly,also if theres a freeware program to stop the transition effects in the menu,and when will the new battery with the promised 9 hours of talk time,its such a turn off,and a big shame,this phone has alot of great features,but what attracted me the most when i did my research on it was the 9 hours of talk time and 14 days of standby time,boy was i disappointed.i miss nokia already 😞
