need avi player

i would to install a avi player for my n73, where can i get the sofware to install ? can u guys gv me the links ?

Welcome😊 . Use the pay Smartmovie, or Makayama. Or avi-Divx, free one Divx Player Mobile. To make the movies, use the free SUPER, from eRightSoft.

Yes both of those programs play AVI files but not very well...

I've tried putting film trailers on my phone and some episodes of Family Guy and Robot Chicken but the phone doesnt seem to have the CPU power or memory to play them properly and they keep pausing/jumping...

Maybe they need to be converted to phone format first?? Has anyone else had success playing watchable AVI files??

Yea the files are too big for the phone to process then fluently
You have to convert them so the file is reduced in size so the phone can handle the file more smoothly.
This can be done using the smartmovie converter, but seeing as you need to convert anyways i recommend getting yourself Super by eRight (freeware) and converting the file to mp4-avc which the built in real player can play so it saves the need to add more apps to your phone. The quality is usually better as well.

You'll need the attached profile to use in Super so as it converts your files right.
(Right Click on Supers Main Window and Select "Import (Load) An External Super(C) Profile"😉
