I am attempting to use my E61 top contact my laptop to the internet via a bluetooth connecction. I am using my laptops bluetooth uti;ity to set up a modem, but when it attmepts to dial through the e61 I get an error "connection error"

Is this the correct approach to doing this? If I try and connect through PC Suite I also have no joy ...

I have e62 and try setup same way using bluetooth on my MacBook unde Mac osx. I got connection error.. since provider like cingular has pkg for connection like this.. even you have unlimited data plan. it won't let you connect to the net. if you go to work.. they will charge you I think.. I have read on some other thread on the net..

jmizoguchi, I use my (unlocked) E60 on Cingular and connect my PDA via Bluetooth to the Internet all the time. I have also connected my PC this way a couple of times. You just have to pair the two devices and then (for Cingular) dial *99#.

JonWill, have you tried using the PC Suite's "Connect To The Internet" application?

It won't work the first time you run it because you have to click the settings button and get the settings right.

All the settings part asks you to do is select your phone model and then select your mobile phone network from a big list of all the networks in the world. It should work fine after you've done those two things.

If you still have problems with bluetooth, try running the connection through the USB cable.

mjlaris.... I have no problem paring but.. don't you ahve use wap.cingluar.com.. and other setting to work?.. I think I had right information but.. had some issues.

can you send me some setting you are using? [email protected]

when you use it.. there is not extran charge at all?
