N73: Front camera=Terrible quality!

I know that it is only a VGA camera, but I am really suspecting that there is something very wrong with my secundary camera. All the pics look RED and full of noise. It is plain horrible! The camera of my old SE K700i that was VGA also was never this bad. Look at these 2 pics, bith taken in the same light conditions and without flash:

With the front camera:

With the back camera at 640x480: (just modified resolution and turned off the flash):

Is my front camera busted? When I am doing videokonference the noise and red color everywhere is disgusting.

Could somebody upload some shots taken with the front camera and the back camera on 640x480 for comparisson?

Thanks a lot.

I't even worse when doing video, almost unusable. I think it's probably ok outdoors since it looks like the whitbalance is locked in those condidtions. I've actually ever seen so crappy quality.
Hope it's just a fw update...

The SE-K800i has very good video from the front camera. This is totally crappy! What the hell was Nokia thinking about in this one?
I am very dissapointed with this camera, it is completely unusable!

It's for video calls, nothing more. I suspect you don't do many (if any)? I don't! The rear camera is where it's at and you'll find it better than any other on the market, possibly the K800i excepted. Most people will never use their front cameras.

Well yes the camera does suck in bad lighting. Though in daylight i found its not that bad. The funny thing is that i've found it usefull not for video calls but rather as a quick mirror to fix my hair in emergencys. (i'm a male with long hair i can't help being vain.) lol

Mine is fine, at least in reasonable light. Its a typical VGA camera, the same as you used to have on 6230s and the such.
