Alarms on P990i

Please help... i've had my P990 for about 2 weeks now and seem to have a little problem with it. Alarms don't go off when the phone is off, but they do when the phone is on charge. Is this a normal thing or is my phone faulty? anyone with the same problem out there? Thanks a mil...

Alarms only work (as far as I know) when the phone is on, at least this is what I see with my P990i and saw previously with my P800 before it.

thanks a lot. That's what i thought until SE cusomer care told me to master reset or use SE Upgrade service cos phone is supposed to switch on for alarms when off... but honestly, i doubt it. Thanks again.
