"Gallery: Memory full. Close some applications and try again"

Lately whenever I open the Gallery (butten left of the shutter button) on my N73 and I try to zoom in on a picture taken in 3,2megapixels I get the following message: "Gallery: Memory full. Close some applications and try again". Even though NOTHING is working in the background and the phone has just been turned on. (I checked by long-pressing the menu button and the only thing that's showing is the "Standby" icon) Also, apart from the SMS accelerator I haven't installed any software yet. I am using a standard Nokia theme.

Is it maybe firmware related? I checked on the Nokia website but it says that my firmware version is up-to-date. My firmware version is: 2.0628.0.0.1

This problem is very frustrating. Especially after I take a picture and want to check if it's taken correctly by zooming in on a portion of the picture.

Apart from that the phone is working just fine and I am very pleased with it.

I had the same problem on my Orange N73 .. and thought it was just the size of the file, and the camera not being able to cope ..... but, since I have de-branded the phone and installed the latest nokia firmware, rather than an Orange one .. the phone now lets me zoom in fine.

So, have a go at de-branding the phone.

i have the same problem on mine too, only some times though.

think i might back the phone up and then install the latest firmware.
