Hi, I'm a very technical guy, but I have never tried Symbian before, I am getting a symbian mobile in 3 weeks, I am already so excited about it, that I am collecting lots of applications and games. Problem is, how can I avoid viruses, is there any built-in antivirus provided by nokia? ( I am getting Nokia E70 )

Otherwise, are there any good antivirus softwares for Nokia E70?

Also, in computer, if you get a problem, you simply restore the comp.
In a symbian mobile, is it possible to reset software somehow or make complete backups of the mobile.

There is no real virus software for the E70 or any other S60 based phone. There are some malicious apps for earlier versions of S60, but none that I know of for S60 3rd Edition which is what the E70 is based one.

In any case, the best way to avoid malicious apps is to get your apps reputable sources (avoid craced commercial apps, so called warez), and do not accept/start the installation of unsolicited apps sent to you from other people.

In any case, no malicious app installs by itself on your phone. Someone has to deliberately launch the installation and actively allow it to finish and start such an app.

I just started using my E62 and been thinking about anit-virus. virus is out there for mobile O/S and symantec has software for symbian as well. I have seen some other company that sells virus program at handango.com but been beta tester for the symantec for long time, I don't mind check into symantec products..

Really? I think you'll find it's just the installation file for this, you have to actually install it if you want it to run.

thats why its in the installation folder, but then you install it, and then you are prompted for updates either as a limited free user or with a subscriber number.
