:con?

Hi

Just got a n72 with a 2 GB Kingston memory card and wonder if anyone can give some guidance on how to create play lists.

I have only 7 GB on my PC of MP3s and will rotate them as I my mood changes. So I would like to setup the play lists and copy the folders over the the MMS card and go.

Is Music player the best? I have heard Oggplayer is good! Which one is easier to use and create playlists with?

Thanks

If you have a card reader, the best is to use WinAmp for generating playlists. OggPlayer doesn't make playlists, it only reads them but nevertheless is the best free music player.

Got WinAmp. nice little FREE app!

Where do I put the playlists?
In the route of sounds or in a folder?
Can I have all the playlists on the phone all the time and then load the folders with my songs on when i wish to listen to them.

Which is the best player for tne N70/72 series of phones?

Thanks

Vim

It doesn't matter where you put the playlists. The thing is that if you move them afterward you might not be able to play them anymore.

The best player... hmmmm... Power MP3 has the best sound (and a nice equalizer) but is not free. OggPlayer is the best free player.

Ratza

Thanks for your help

Maybe you can enlighten me further.

I ran WinAmp on PC.
Created playlists for my songs
Copied the playlists (m3u files) and folders containing songs into sounds directory on my card.
Media player then updated songs and playlists
But when I tried to use the playlista Media Player said the lists where empty!

Any ideas?

Thanks

Vim

OK, here's a guide:

First of all, copy the music on your card. Run WinAmp and open the files from the card and generate a playlist. Now save the playlist somewhere on the card.

Second variant:
Organize the mp3's into folders on your PC. Again, run WinAmp and open the mp3's from the folders you created. Generate the playlist and save it to one of folders or outside of it. Send the folders and the playlist to card.

The important thing on playlists is to keep the directory structure, for example if you created the playlist for files located under C:\Music\ on your PC and the playlist location is C:\Music\Playlists, then when you copy the music onto the MMC this structure has to be kept. You can put the dirs on the MMC anywhere, but keep the structure, music in let's say E:\Stuff\Music\ and the playlist in E:\Stuff\Music\Playlists\ The blue marked text is the thing that must not be changed after the playlist was generated.

I hope you can understand now how the playlists are working. If not, I will try to explain better 😉
