And it works very, very nicely indeed.
I've had this on my N73 for a few days. The music player is a definite improvement (although its not as good as the SE Walkman 2 player), the themes are nice.
Just need to get hold of a black cover and the ME keyboard now!
Have had my GPS unit, and HS820 headset connected, talking, giving me a route via TomTom, and no problems. Well good on yer, Nokia!
Is this exactly the same software but with an improved music player, i.e. nothing else lost?
Also, does this product code work with all network branded phones?
how is the music player better ?
Yes, this is exactly the same firmware as 3.0638.0.0.1 other than the new music player, two new themes, and various small changes. No bug fixes above the "standard" v3 firmware.
The music player is completely re-written. Gone are those stupid round buttons crawling up the left of the screen. Now you get to use the joystick to control play / pause / forward / backward & stop. You also now get album art in your albums and tracks.
Another code to try is
0537289
for the N73 EURO1 music edition
How to change the product code. Does tis work in Indai? Please help
Found the way. Thanks. Its superv especially the music player similar to the n91. Should i have to change the code back to the original? Thanks again....
Another successful update here (from Orange to Music Edition).
Big thanks to everyone who posted "How To Guides" and Product codes 😊

What button becomes dedicated to the music player?
What do the new themes look like?
Many thanks
Bryan
Its the media button above the "C" key. Hated that button before, it was totally useless, now its quite usable.
Is there no way of changing the media key back to normal? I actually use it alot. Also is there any way of recording from the radio like on the n91? Can music tracks be changed by pressing the button on the headset? Lastly how do i change the code? Ok i think thats it. 😊

Can somebody please tell me if i'm able to change tracks with the button on my headset in me. Also is recording from the radio possible? And finally if its possible to change the media keY back to normal instead of being a dedicated music button.
Thanx!

Change tracks? Nope. You have to buy the right headset for that (ie. HS20 - it has the play/pause, stop, ff, rewind controls. Also takes a standard 3.5mm headphone. I do kinda wish it worked like the SE volume control - hold down the key and you go to the next/prior track.
Radio recording? Nope. in fact, that feature seems to be getting removed slowly from other products that have previously supported it (ie. creative Zen)
Media key change? Nope. Then again, that darned shortcut button has a stupid animation that pops up, and it hardly makes things quicker.
Ok thanks. it's just that my last phone was a 3300 and I could record from radio as well as changing tracks on the headset. Oh well I suppose its not worth changing to ME as I seem to be the only one who actually likes the media key and old music player.
Does this ME upgrade get rid of all your applications, games etc like when the first firmware upgrade came out?
I really cant be bothered installing all my stuff again...
Does the head set given with N73 Music Edition work with N73 normal edition

NSU only performs the update on the phone once it has fully downloaded the update from the Nokia site, therefore, during the update of the phone, it shouldn't make any difference if you have it connected or not or if it drops out. Just make sure your PC doesn't get turned off or shut down 😊
