at MPL, a belgian internet based shop for computerparts and phones there is a first pricequote for the P800 ...

1130.00 euro 😮

OMG, ... i hope there will be cheaper shops ...

i would have thought 900 euro or so, but this is a lot more.

I have thouroughly reviewed MPL's website and I think they're phonies. They've got to be no more than two idiots running that thing and shipping parts they buy upon receiving faxes of purchase orders (seen it done).

I can't imagine how they could manage to come up with a price when no one else serious has not, particularly taking into considerations that distributors and importers provide substantial discounts for mass distributors.

What am I driving at ? I could provide with a price of 2000 without being too much off course. I wait that it comes out, buy it and sell it back. SE doesn't even have to have me in their client's roster.

Seriously, let's wait another week or two that the big guys (phone house for instance) announce something coherent.

It might be cheaper to buy the developer's kit then wouldn't it? That's only $1150 and you might be able to sell the t-shirt off for $20!!

Andy

Maybe they are gotten a few dev kits and are selling the phone of just to see if they are cheat some buyers.. it shouldnt be released in Germany yet right?

Some people in denmark is quoting DKR 12.000,- that is about 1.600 euro. ;-(
