Cingular Service w/ the E61

I purchased the E61 instead of the E62 offered by Cingular because I wanted all the functionality. Unfortunately, Cingular won't support me as I attempt to set the phone for Cingular wireless data services.

I get the following error: "Invalid Packet: Data Access Point" when I try to browse the internet. I also cannot receive any text messages that contains MMS.

Any Cingular users that have already travelled this road? Thanks in advance.

I assume your are paying for data access. Why dont you try to manually enter cingular's settings , i.e. wap address for media net and other settings.

I've searched and searched for this, but can't find anything. If this is a common question (and I have to believe it is), please forgive me for posting it.

I have an unlocked E61 and use it on Cingular. All incoming calls show a "1" then the full number ... however, unless my address book also has a 1 in the begining, it doesn't match up the name on the caller ID. I also have an E62 from Cingular and they've somehow programmed it to drop this by default (or ignore it).

Anyone have info on how I can setup my E61 to ignore the 1 so it resolves the caller ID name/number properly?

This is strange. I have an E60 and have two friends with E61s, all of us with Cingular and none of us have this problem.
