i heard that Nokia Paid Microsoft a large sum of money for the use of their os! what's this all about? future communicator with windows os? faster phone?mages? movies?

any news guys???

or just rumors?

Where did you get that information? Are you sure? What would make Nokia choose Linux after such a success with Symbian devices? 😃

If the next communicator uses a windows os i will seriously have to think about another pda/phone. :evil:

well with symbian becoming ht emost popoular os for moblies devices around(with the big sales of 7650 it one of the most use os) i dont thing that they are going to move especialy know that samsugn left ms for symbian and the siemens promised to create a symbian phone!!!!

It's probably correct that they paid lots of $$$ to Microsoft for using their OS. Such as W2k, NT, etc. for use on their desktop machines and servers. Most large companies do.

As for paying for Microsoft OS on phones, I doubt it given Nokia's investment in Symbian and the Series 60 platform.

I dont see the point in this discussion.Why wait,and see what?
Would you wait for M$ to go Open Source? I dont think so.
