Volume on Music Player N80

I listening to music (and other audio files) on my N80, but it doesn't seem to play very loud. In fact if I go out on the street or near a busy road it's almost inaudible. I have an iPod Nano and it's never a problem with that.
I have the volume on full, but is there anyway of setting a master volume for the device? If not, has anyone heard of this as a problem or does anyone have any suggestions?
Regards

I did read somewhere that if you use other headphones that this helps alot, I use some sony headphones with noise cancelling buds and these are very good..

I should add that I'm using the Nokia headset that came with the phone- the advantage of using this vs. other headphones is that it has the mic built-in so I can easily make calls without switching headphones.

I just tried my Nokia headset and the sound volume is much lower than with my sony headphones so I think the problem is with the Nokia headphones...so I dont think much can be done about it ..
