i've bought this unit and need to know how to flash it (actually do some kind of low level format), to make it work as a full ngage classic phone...
im from "chile", my sim chip will be from "Movistar"....
is there any kind of tutorial that covers this same scenario?

i've done some advances...
now i can make and receive call's, how i made it?.. well first of all get a new sim card from my cel company (u$ 0.70), then hard reset with the sim and the THPS game on the ngage..... then it ask's me if i desire to go offline, answered no and done, it receive and make call's, but i still don't have any menu....

i have mi bluetooth dongle, and the USB cable from my digital camera (that by some reviews should do the work)...
but i've watching some weird things, N-gage PC suite is not able to detect the pluged n-gage, also the NSU... it seems that the USB connection should be "enabled" from the n-gage... so i'm in a dead end alley?

To put a new firmware on N-Gage, only Nokia Service can do that. Search on Nokia Site the nearest one, and do that.
called to a nokia service here in chile...
the cost for load firmware is u$ 7.00-....
so, as the cost is so low, i'll desist on my intention to hack the ngage....

went to Nokia Care, they make me sign a responsability discharge, due to the "age" of my N-gage, then take my phone and load the 4.03 firmware.. cost U$10.00-
and now it rock's!
And if you want, you can overclock the processor and it fly... with battery life reduced! See how, on this forum, or others.
