I've just updated my N73 to the Music Edition using the NSS utility to change the product code. Is there a list of product codes for the 6680 so that I can use the same application to update my 6680 to the latest Nokia software and get rid of the crappy Vodafone branded shite ? My partner wants to use it now so i was trying to get it updated in readiness.

Well, I did a bit more investigation and managed to find the following info. My phone was a Vodafone branded 6680 in Silver/Blue and had a product code of 0526135. This had firmware version 4.04.07 22-08-05.
I managed to find the product code for the Euro 1 Silver Blue (UK/France/Germany IIRC) which is 0520999. Using NSS, I changed the code and ran NSU. This confirmed a newer firmware and proceeded to upgrade. I am now running firmware 5.04.07 15-02-06. No more Vodafone branding, although I still need to get the network lock removed. Thankfully this will be free as I have had the phone for 17 months.
I found quite a bit of info at the Nokia Support Forums, inparticular the board dedicated to Software Updates. Worth a look 😊
