Ok I've got my N80 successfully upgraded to the IE 4.0632.0.38 firmware and I've been playing around a bit with the SIP Internet telephony settings. I'm trying to get it to connect to the Sipgate network (which apparently works just fine with the E60 and E61) but so far I've had no luck. I notice that the public user name is always prefixed with "sip:" which isn't suggested on the Sipgate site but there doesn't seem to be a way around this.
Anyone else tried Sipgate with the N80IE yet?
The 'sip:' prefixing is standard behaviour on the nokia devices. This behaviour is seen on all of the ones I have configured even my N80ie.
I can't help you with why it doesnt register with Sipgate, my N80ie is registered fine with the asterisk servers that Gradwell use.

Hmm I seem to be struggling making it work with sipgate...
I followed the setup guide, but when I go to Internet Tel and do connect to service it tries... then comes back with "unable to connect the connection network"
The wlan works, the necessary ports are forwarded from the router to the phone which is on a fixed IP. The xlite client works absolutely fine on my pc & laptop so I just changed the forwarding rule in the router to the mobile. Any ideas?? Is there any log info available for the SIP registration?
