FYI I am getting to understand more about whats going on
I was in France and drove through Belgium to Holland
The Blackberry service worked perfectly all week I never had to cycle the power
and it even continued to function on a Non Orange Network
Within hours of returning to the UK it had switched itself off again
This tells me there is nothing wrong with the phone
I noticed last week that when there is a connection to the Internet the phone displays an icon ( Globe ) in the Task bar. This appears in the UK but soon disappears again
I tried setting the phone to GPRS only ( incase it was losing the Internet connection when dropping back from 3G to GPRS
No difference
I also enable WiFi on the basis that it should maintain a connection whilst in my house
Same problem
I called Orange but they said they cant support BlackBerry on the P990
Strange as there is a website and it obviously works
So I need to know why in the UK the phone drops its Internet connection
Any ideas ?
