G'day everyone...
Just recently after about 4/5 weeks of use my N80 has started to stall when sending an SMS. Writing the SMS is fine, entering the name of the person I wish to send the SMS to is fine, but after actually sending it it takes a good 1-2 minutes for it to actually send and for the phone to go back to its wallpaper ready for use again...
Anyone have any idea how to fix this? I tried deleting all my msgs etc but it stayed the same. It is so damn annoying and is driving me nuts because I have a lot of quick SMS convo's with only a few words in them but I can't really do that anymore with this prob. It's driving me nuts, help please!

There is a fix that you need to download on the nokia site in the software section do a search here for "sms accelerator" and that should point you to the link .. or just go to the nokia site

It worked an absolute treat mate, your an absolute lifesaver!
One lil problem just popped up though...after sending a msg earlier on, the lil icon that pops up whilst an SMS is still sending in the top right of the phone has stayed there...the message sent and I can still send more SMS but the lil icon is annoying me a tad...I tried turning my phone on and off but it didn't do anything...any ideas?
check in the outbox of your phone, this happened to me when i tried to send a text and the person had changed their number, look in the outbox and you may see a message sat in there saying deffered or something, you should be able to delete it form there and the icon will go.
Why dont you flash your phone to the newest firmware.. this will fix the problem.

Thanks... you were right on. I accidently tried to send a msg to a home phone number (dont ask how, im a tool) and it was in the outbox saying "failed".
