Having just upgraded to SP2 on Windows XP I've discovered the "Microsoft Word and Excel can no longer open documents created on the Nokia 9500" problem. Oh joy.
I've come to the conclusion that the firmware on the 9500 needs to be upgraded in order to resolve this.
I tried the Carphone Warehouse shop on Oxford Street, London, and after a lengthy wait was told that they would charge 40 GBP to upgrade the firmware and it would take 24 hours. Naturally I declined.
So, I'm still left with the same problem. My question is does anyone know how I can get my 9500 firmware upgraded at a sensible price?
