I'm considering buying a P990i but currently have all my data (principally contacts and organiser) in a Palm Tungsten T2. Can anyone tell me if I can easily convert this into a format that will upload onto the P990i? Or the 0600 for that matter.
Particularly valuable would be a way to do this via a Mac, since that's what I use with Pam Desktop, although I accept I may have to find a friend with a PC to use Outlook or something.
I'm assuming you can't back up data on the P990i onto a Mac. Is this right?

Hi Martin,
Sony Ericsson were spectacularly unhelpful and in the end i got an Orange SPV M3100with Windows Mobile instead and managed to convert my Palm data into Outlook and from there it was fairly easy to synch with Windows Mobile on the M3100. The added problem was that I have a mac not a pc (i used virtual pc on the mac). It may well be easier to move Palm into Symbian on a pc. sorry not to be able to say anything more useful.

Not much help now, but the best way to do this is to going via Outlook or a SyncML service. Of course you need both ends to support these.

I would really rather do anything than go via Outlook. The program is an abomination and messes up my associations. 😞
Hence my query about MobileMaster. Maybe if we all contact the maker of this software, he can speedup support. I can't believe that there is no conduit after three years asking. 😞
