I dropped by phone, and the screen is out; however, it will still turn on and I can usually still make calls.
Can anyone tell me the exact buttons to push to back up contacts to the Sim card, so I can reformat it afterward?

I don't know if is the same on 6600 but on N70 is like this. First of all you must delete all your numbers from the SIM because the numbers will be apended.
DELETE SIM CONTACTS:
Enter contacts -> Left softkey -> 10 times down -> 2 times OK -> Left softkey -> 5 times down -> OK -> down -> OK -> Clear (c) -> Exit contacts
COPY FROM PHONE TO SIM
Enter contacts -> Left softkey -> 8 times down -> OK -> down -> OK -> Left softkey -> 2 times down -> 3 times OK
