Back in the Autumn, we gave you an idea of what we considered some of the best picks of software for S60 third edition. Since then the programmers and developers have been busy, and the list has now doubled in size as we update our essential software pics . And do feel free to tell us what we've forgotten.

Read on in the full article.

I think the comment about Handy Safe is a bit over the top. I've found Splash ID to be a wonderful, cross platform password manager. I've used it on Macs, PCs, UIQ devices, and now my E61. I can readily import and export records from one to the other painlessly.

I tried SplashID a while back - it simply wasn't possibly to move entries with data/notes to and from the PC - Handy Safe does this with one click. it's not perfect, but it's head and shoulders the best there is. IMHO.

Now that HanDBase is out, for me there doesn't seem to be any reason to use HandySafe? ie. HandySafe is just a specific implementation of an encrypted database, and doesn't allow proper import/export or flexible customisation.

Well, you could say that HanDBase replaces dozens of apps in that case 8-)

Handy Safe's sheer convenience, plus one-click syncing, is still very attractive though. And no, EpocWare haven't paid us to say so. Honest!

I hope HanDBase does well though, the Symbian world needs it to stick around.

What I'm really missing is a decent calendar !
Aquacalendar is a buggy program
Papyrus is not really usefull because the time is placed after the appointment and possibilities are too limited.

Desperately waiting for agendus to bring out a Symbian S60V3 version
